All workshops take place at the Cloth Fiber Workshop studio located in the Riverview Station building in the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina. See the Contact Information page for the address, map and other information.
Workshops are generally one or two days, typically offered on Fridays and/or Saturdays. Consult the Schedule page (see link on the left) for exact schedules.
All workshops are open to students age 16 and over unless stated otherwise in the description. Workshop size is limited and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register online, by phone, or by mail (see Payment Options below). You may register with either full payment or a 50% deposit. To ensure your place, full payment is required no later than two weeks before class begins. Workshops can fill quickly so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
Online: Register and pay for a class/workshop online by clicking the "Add to Cart" button in the workshop description on the Workshop Descriptions page (see links on the left). Your payment will be processed through PayPal, which accepts all major credit cards. (A PayPal account is not required.) At any time you can click the "View Cart" button in the upper right corner of the page to see the items currently in your PayPal shopping cart. Note: Online registrations must be paid in full (no deposits).

If students are unable to attend a workshop, they may transfer their registration fee to another workshop according to the following rules:
Students who withdraw from a workshop up to 30 days before a workshop begins will receive a refund of the registration fee, less $35. No refunds will be made for withdrawals made after that time.
If Cloth Fiber Workshop cancels a workshop for any reason, Cloth will inform all registered students as soon as possible and offer an opportunity to transfer to another workshop. No transfer fee will be applied. Students who do not wish to transfer to another workshop will receive a full refund of their registration fees.
Registration fees do not necessarily cover the cost of materials used by students. Some materials must be purchased from the instructor; other materials should be provided by the student. Some workshops also require a studio fee for supplies used by the group; this fee is payable at end of the workshop and usually will not exceed $40 per person. All required materials/tools and fees will be listed in the workshop description at least one month prior to the first session.
Students should be aware that in some workshops they might be using tools that, if used improperly, can cause injury. Workshops will include instruction in the proper use of tools and materials; however, students assume the risk of working with any tools and materials used in all workshops.
Lunch breaks are generally one hour during weekend workshops. You are welcome to bring your lunch or go to an area restaurant.
